Get to know us

Ghar Ka Khana started with a simple feeling — missing home-cooked food. Living in a busy city, we saw many students and working professionals struggling to find fresh, healthy meals that tasted like home. Outside food was expensive, oily, and never felt personal. That is when the idea was born: why not cook the same food we make for our own family and share it with others?

What began as cooking a few extra meals in a small kitchen soon turned into something bigger. With experience from professional hotel kitchens and a passion for authentic Indian flavors, every dish was prepared with care, hygiene, and traditional recipes. Friends became regular customers, and regular customers became a growing community who trusted our taste and portions.

Today, Ghar Ka Khana is more than just a tiffin service — it is a promise of warm, homemade Indian meals delivered with honesty and consistency. Every week we plan fresh menus, use quality ingredients, and cook food the way it is meant to be: simple, nutritious, and full of flavor. Our journey started with one kitchen and one idea — to make people feel at home, one meal at a time. 🍱

About Me

You didn’t come this far to stop

My journey with food started in 2017 when I graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management, Meerut. Becoming a chef was not just a career choice for me — it was a passion I wanted to grow every single day. Right after graduation, I received a campus placement with MSC Cruises, where I spent two intense and exciting years learning discipline, speed, and international kitchen standards. Then COVID happened, and like many others, life suddenly paused.

Staying at home during that time changed my perspective. I moved away from luxury kitchens and rediscovered the beauty of simple, homemade food — the kind that brings comfort, memories, and warmth. Cooking was no longer only a profession; it became something personal and emotional. When the world slowly reopened, I was grateful to receive an opportunity at Fairmont Austin, where I worked for a year, sharpening my skills and gaining confidence in professional kitchens once again.

Today, I am working toward my dream — opening a small cafeteria in Austin where anyone can walk in, enjoy fresh home-style food, and walk out feeling satisfied, even in their busiest schedules. I truly believe one of the biggest struggles people face today is finding time and energy to cook. Through my food, I want to take that burden off their shoulders. For me, cooking is not just about meals; it is about care, relief, and giving people a small moment of comfort in their hectic lives.
